About Brooke County Court Docket

Brooke County dockets are divided among the Circuit Clerk, the courts that hear each case, and West Virginia's separate online search services. This private reference site organizes those official routes so visitors can identify the right portal, office address, or telephone number with fewer wrong turns.

Why We Built This Site

West Virginia generally permits public review of court dockets, yet finding the custodian can be difficult. The Brooke County Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit Court files and the event-by-event docket. Magistrate Court uses a different search route, and municipal matters may remain with a city court. Court staff schedule hearings and enter rulings, while the clerk supplies official copies. The site brings those contacts, portals, and request paths together without replacing any official source.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Brooke County
  • Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
  • Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
  • Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, independent of every West Virginia court, clerk, and public agency. Its limits include the following:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Outside providers operate the search boxes found on some content pages. Each provider controls its results, charges, and service terms. A paid registration reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports site operations. Brooke County Court Docket does not set partner prices or determine what their searches return.
